Anyone planning to host a cocktail party is unconsciously saying “I’m sick of the usual beer, wine and champagne and I want something different, exciting and fun”. Cocktail parties by their nature are rather intimate gatherings of like-minded people who enjoy the sophistication and allure that only a well-made cocktail can offer.

Being that these events are quite intimate with between 20-50 guests and have a typical service time of four hours, the most suitable drinks package is the Open Bar. This can either be done as a Full Bar option, which will include cocktails, beer, spirits, wine, champagne and mocktails, or Cocktails Only, where only selected cocktails are served.

If your cocktail party is expected to be an extremely low-consumption event with 30-50 guests, then the On the TAB package may be more suitable. An example would be that your 95-year-old grandmother is having Sunday afternoon drinks to reminisce about the beautiful cocktails she used to drink in her 20s. All of her friends are attending, including those who have a day-leave pass from the aged-care facility. In this case, an On the TAB package with the monetary equivalent of 80-100 drinks would be more cost effective than an Open Bar and doesn’t compromise on the level of service in any way.
